StarBase recently engaged with a client, on a project that had over-run and had missed several key delivery milestones. The existing team was jaded and lacking direction, and the project was at severe risk of missing a further delivery milestone and therefore of failing to meet the business critical completion date – costs were spiralling.

The challenge laid down to StarBase was clear, ‘be pro-active, own the testing-related issues, galvanise the existing team, provide direction, add value and deliver to the deadlines’.
 The StarBase team turned up on day one of the engagement, armed with their robust experience led delivery process and their knowledge-based consulting approach.

By day three of the project, StarBase had already added value, recommending changes to some of the core application components that would later result in one key business SLA being achieved for the first time.

By the end of the engagement, StarBase had galvanised, re-energised, mobilised and driven the existing team to meet the key milestones for testing to plan, thus enabling the client to sign off on the full deployment of their new solution.
