Opportunities are available for Consultants with good system architecture or testing background to work for one of the leading UK Software testing consultancies. If you are a Green Hat Tester / Solutions Architect/ Technical Consultant with a strong consulting skills and seeking a fresh challenge then you’re well placed with us.

 

The Role:

This is an important role in our Green Hat testing function where you will be responsible for successfully delivering QA and software testing to the company standards by applying your technical expertise to deliver value to our blue-chip customers. The type of work you will conduct will vary depending on the project and customer requirements. You will be working closely with Test Leads and Principal Consultants on large scale projects to ensure testing is conducted as part of the delivery of projects.

The role will require the capability to plan, script, run tests and report on the results. The role will be performed on client sites, which would be across southern England and you will be expected to work as part of our existing team of professionals with established methodologies and a strong culture of knowledge sharing.

Essential Skills:

• Good understanding of software testing best practices.
• Experience of analysing project documentation to extract requirements, system functions and other features to be tested.
• Proven track record of developing test conditions tests and scripts to the appropriate standards and to test the requirements and of executing these tests and recording results.
• Proven experience of using Green Hat to test web services.
• Experience of using other test tool suites (e.g. Quality Center) to manage testing activity and to provide testing metrics.
• You will need to have evident exposure to SOA (service orientated architecture) testing using various transport protocols (HTTP, web services JMS, TIBCO BusinessWorks, TIBCO BusinessEvents, EMS, IBM MQ).
• You will have experience with various messaging formats (XML, FIXM).
• Experience of at least one of testing one of the following technology areas: MS Office, SQL/DB technologies, XML, SOAP, SAP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible and pragmatic approach to changes in circumstances on customer projects.

 

Main Responsibilities:

You will be working as part of our existing team of professionals with established methodologies and a strong culture of knowledge sharing. Most of your work will be performed on client sites, which are across the UK and Europe. Therefore, you will need excellent communication and client facing skills. The role will require the capability to plan, script, run tests and report on the results.
