IBM Rational Performance Test Server (formerly Green Hat Performance) is Rational’s
performance testing product. It fits seamlessly into Rational Test Workbench (formerly GH
Tester) to meet every performance testing need for integration projects. Functional tests can be
re-used as part of a performance test. They can be data driven. They can also be used in any
combination to simulate realistic production transaction mixes.
As a conscientious tester, you’ll want to know your SOA can handle the expected traffic loads
before your customers do. What does it take to really test the performance of your SOA
or message-based project? Multiple endpoints? Multiple hosts? Extreme message rates?
Extreme message sizes? Rational Integration Tester has it all.
Rational Performance Test Server is a powerful extension to Rational Test Workbench.
Users can use pre-existing functional tests from the Workbench, or develop special ones, with
no programming or scripting knowledge, and use them to exercise multiple endpoints
(services) simultaneously.
Not only that, but a range of powerful probes will tell you how the infrastructure is holding up
under the strain and Rational Integration Tester’s built-in charting component will help you to
understand what went wrong, and where.
Rational Performance Test Server at a glance:
